General anaesthesia

For patients who have a great fear of going to the dentists, it is a good solution to carry out treatment whilst under general anaesthesia. It is also used during major surgery in the oral cavity.

Dental treatment under general anaesthesia with patients is always organised several weeks in advance.  Patients undergo internal pre-operative investigations and the anaesthesia itself is carried out by an anaesthesiologist and their assistant. During the procedures patients are attached to monitoring equipment for control of vital life functions. After the surgery, the patient awakes and their condition status is checked before they are allowed to go home, accompanied by an adult.
